Run a RuneScape: Dragonwilds dedicated server on the Windows or Linux PC you already have. NodeMesh installs it, keeps it running and relays your friends' connections, so nothing needs opening on your router. Dragonwilds is in Beta on NodeMesh, and we haven't run it on our own hardware yet.
Free on your own PC — one host, no time limit.
Sign up, then paste one command from your dashboard on the PC that will run the server — PowerShell on Windows, a terminal on Linux. The agent installs as a service and pairs with your account.
Choose the game in the panel. NodeMesh downloads the dedicated server, sets it up and starts it, and you watch every step in the live console.
Switch on the traffic relay for the server and the panel gives you a public address. Send it to your friends: their traffic goes through the relay to your PC, so you never open a port on your router.
The memory figures are for the game server alone. If you also play on the same PC, the game itself needs its own memory on top.
Dragonwilds has no direct-IP connect screen. Players open the in-game Public server list and search for your server's exact World Name (case-sensitive) — share that name, and a World Password if you set one. Only one UDP port is used, and NodeMesh's relay carries it to your PC without opening anything on your router.
You have to set your Owner Player ID on the Config tab before the server will start — Jagex's own guide says a blank one refuses to boot, and every new NodeMesh instance is created with it blank, so this is a required first step, not optional polish. An Admin Password is generated for you automatically so Server Management is never left open; change it on the Config tab if you'd rather pick your own. Dragonwilds has no RCON and no console commands beyond the in-game Server Management screen, and NodeMesh can't force a save before Stop — plan for a plain Stop to lose whatever the game hasn't autosaved yet. There's no mod support for this game.
One host — your own PC — is free with no time limit, for up to 5 game servers: the web panel and console, the config editor, the mod manager, auto-restart on crash and the traffic relay. Extra hosts cost credits.
See pricing →Beta: you can create this server today, but we have not run it on our own hardware yet. Expect rough edges, and tell us what you find.
It's your Dragonwilds Player ID from the bottom of the in-game Settings menu. The server refuses to start without one set — copy yours in on the Config tab before you press Start for the first time.
Jagex's own formula: 2 GB base plus 1 GB per player, up to Dragonwilds' current 6-player cap — so 8 GB covers a full server. The requirements above come straight from that formula.
Yes, potentially. Dragonwilds has no RCON or console save command NodeMesh can call before a Stop, so a plain Stop is a hard kill — anything since the game's own last autosave can be lost.
Yes, for one host. Running game servers on your own PC is free with no time limit — up to 5 servers, traffic relay included. You only pay, in credits, if you add more hosts.
We haven't run Dragonwilds on our own hardware yet, even though the catalog template — Owner ID requirement included — is ready on both OSes. We'd rather say that plainly than call something stable before we've checked it ourselves.
