NodeCoin (NMC)
NMC is our internal credit used for premium features. During beta, NMC is granted by the NodeMesh team — there is no self-service purchase flow.
What's free (no NMC)
What costs NMC
Do I need a server or VPS to use NodeMesh?
No. NodeMesh works with any internet-connected machine — a gaming PC, a Raspberry Pi, an old desktop, or a VPS. Install the agent and your first node is completely free with all features included.
What do I get for free?
Your first BYOH node with up to 5 game server instances, traffic proxy, full web panel, console, file manager, config editor, mod manager, crash detection, and email notifications. This is free forever — not just during beta.
What costs NMC?
Extra BYOH nodes beyond your first one cost 5 NMC/month each. Everything else is free.
Can I run AI models for free?
Yes. Install the agent on your own machine and run open-source LLMs — Llama, Qwen, and embedding models — with an OpenAI-compatible API. It's CPU-only (no GPU needed), private to your host, and has no per-token billing. AI endpoints are part of your free BYOH node.
Do AI endpoints cost extra?
No. AI endpoints share your free BYOH node alongside game servers. Only extra nodes (5 NMC/month) cost NMC.
What happens if my machine goes offline?
Running game servers will be unavailable until your machine reconnects. NodeMesh will alert you and attempt to auto-resume when the node comes back online.
What is Server Fund?
Server Fund lets your players contribute NMC directly to a game server's balance. You share a link, they transfer NMC — no payment needed.
Is the agent open-source?
The agent will be open-sourced under the MIT license after open beta. It communicates only with NodeMesh servers over an encrypted gRPC connection and does not access files outside its data directory.
